I will not open a big secret if I say that fish for a person’s diet should be obligatory and it is even preferable to eat it more often than meat. Catfish is a fish of the northern seas, so it is rich in all kinds of vitamins and micro- and macroelements. Her meat is very tender, tasty, and fatty. These advantages make the fish somewhat difficult to cook.

- Frozen blue catfish steaks 600 g
- Onions ½ pieces
- Carrots 1 piece
- Sweet pepper 1 piece
- Lemon juice 1 teaspoon
- Fish seasoning 1 tablespoon
- Salt
- Grated hard cheese 2 tablespoons
- Vegetable oil 1 tablespoon

Method
- The catfish was bought frozen, so let’s defrost it first. We will do this on the table without the microwave, gradually draining the liquid. In the end, we will blot the steaks with napkins. However it will be impossible to remove all the liquid, but that’s okay.
- Drizzle defrosted steaks with lemon juice briefly marinate with fish and seafood spices (bell pepper, salt, chili powder, lime powder), and a little salt.
- While the fish is marinating, prepare the vegetables. Peel and chop onions, carrots, and peppers – onions in half rings, peppers and carrots arbitrarily.
- Place the vegetables on the bottom of a heatproof dish, and drizzle with vegetable oil.
- Lay the catfish steaks on top of that.
- Sprinkle sweet peppers on top of the fish.
- Cover the dish with foil to let the vegetables bake through. Put the fish in the oven at 180° for 20 minutes.
- Take the cooked fish and vegetables out of the oven.
- Rub hard cheese over the hot steaks. It will melt immediately. If you wish to get a ruddy cheese crust, you can put the dish back in the oven under the top heat for another five minutes.
- Tender, with a sweetish flavor, and full of omega-3, delicious catfish is ready. It can be served with vegetables that were stewed with it, or with any other side dish to our taste and discretion. Remove the steaks from the mold using a wide spatula.
